How does monitoring work? With an ADT monitored home security system, you're connected 24 hours a day to our fully manned Alarm Receiving centre via your phone line. If your alarm is activated we will know about it straight away. What's more, you're not just protected from burglars. We can help you obtain emergency support from the emergency services or your keyholders.
More than just a burglar alarm Fire detectors can also be added to your system, with a monitored system your fire detector is active and monitored 24 hours a day, even if your intruder alarm is not set. You can also install a personal attack device (panic button) enabling you to summon help if you are attacked at home by secretly alerting our Alarm Receiving Centre

Outstanding flexibility An ADT monitored home security system is highly versatile - you can protect your entire home when you are out, or choose simply to protect areas when not in use, giving you freedom of movement day or night.
Is alarm monitoring expensive? No. The considerable extra protection provided by alarm monitoring typically costs less than €1.50 per day for monitoring and maintenance.
With a monitored alarm, will I still be able to reset my system after an activation? In most cases we can reset your system over the phone for you, provided we have identified the cause of the alarm.
How will my pets affect the monitoring? Our consultant will be able to design a system that suits your needs.
Do I need a dedicated phone line for a monitored system? No. Usually you can use your existing telephone line for a monitored alarm system.
